Crime Stoppers International (CSI) has embarked on a global appeal via Indiegogo (www.indiegogo.com) in order to raise funds to embark on a project to help stop the trafficking of human beings [ more
Through this project CSI is seeking to enhance its capability to acquire intelligence anonymously from the global community which law enforcement can use to dismantle criminal networks, and arrest the perpetrators of this heinous crime.

 
Funds raised from this appeal will be used to:

· Build a new intelligent driven information management software application. This application will possess a user friendly interface with latest generation data capture & data mining functionalities.

· Maintain optimum human resource capacity levels at our international call centre to ensure the effective and efficient monitoring and dissemination of intelligence.

What is Crime Stoppers?
  • A not-for-profit community-based charity that brings together the cooperative efforts of the police, the media and the community in the fight against crime.
  • Financed through personal and corporate donations.
  • Encourages the public to submit tips on crimes that have been committed, are being committed or are about to be committed.
  • Pays up to $2000 per successful arrest.
  • Will NOT ask for your name or ask that you appear in court.

What is the Ontario Association of Crime Stoppers (OACS)?

Incorporated in 1991, the mission of the OACS is to promote high, ethical standards through guidance and support to all Crime Stoppers programs. To date, the OACS represents 38 local programs across the province of Ontario.

Through an annual training conference, monthly meetings and regular outreach initiatives, the OACS works to provide guidance and support to local Crime Stoppers programs in an effort to create program sustainability, community awareness and mutually beneficial partnerships with local police services.
